Fellow Psychology, a mental health clinic in Prahran, Victoria, specialises in evidence-based therapies that enhance positive mental health outcomes and improved wellbeing for men of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
I designed the logo to emphasise the clinic’s commitment to guiding their patients towards greater resilience and confidence ‘with empathy, understanding, and innovative care’.
A continuous bold line traces a male silhouette. On its left side, a loop outlines a shape reminiscent of a heart while also hinting at a supportive arm around the figure’s shoulder. The logo conveys the practice’s niche of expertise and would appeal to its ideal patient. The uncomplicated look will stand the test of time.
The logo influenced icons that depict Fellow Psychology’s seven values: belonging, imagination, balance, authenticity, connection, creativity, and masculinity. Those that represent belonging, imagination, and balance resemble familiar symbols associated with those words. To create the icons for authenticity, connection, and creativity, I drew upon more lateral imagery. For a bit of fun, emblems worn by superheroes inspired the design for masculinity.
Both the business card and double-sided DL I prepared incorporate visual elements into simple and effective collateral that clearly presents information and delivers the clinic’s intended message to its target audience.
