I was commissioned by Luxico, Australia's premier ‘home hotel’ platform managing luxury villas and homes, to illustrate six of their best property locations. Sydney and Melbourne were on top of their list, as well as popular beachside destinations Palm Beach, Mornington Peninsula, Gold Coast and Byron Bay.
All illustrations were hand sketched in black & white for approval before the final render was completed in Adobe Illustrator. Grainy texture was added later to give the artwork a vintage poster vibe. While all illustrations are consistent in style; detail and colour was either restrained or amped up depending on the destinations energy. For example, Melbourne is vibrant and intense compared to the softer hues and space of Palm Beach.
The final images were used on postcards, towels and coasters for their rental properties. I’m quite proud of these illustrations and how they capture the destinations atmosphere.
